Frequently Asked Questions

Every rental is based on a 24-hour period. For example, if you pick up an item at 4:00 p.m. on a Monday, you are expected to return it by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Extended Rentals: If you require the rental for a multi-day event (e.g., a 3-day competition), please inquire with us, as we offer discounts for longer-term rentals.
• Late Returns: This return policy is strictly enforced during our busy summer season. However, if equipment availability allows, we can offer some leniency on return times.

We have two main requirements regarding deposits and security:

• Booking Deposit: A 10% e-transfer deposit is required to hold your date.
• Security: We do not require a monetary damage deposit once the equipment is picked up. Instead, we require a photocopy or picture of a government-issued photo ID along with a signed contract (sent via email). Regarding the ID, you may blur out sensitive details, provided your picture, address, and full name remain visible. Alternatively, if you prefer not to provide ID, you may choose to have a hold placed on your credit card (via Stripe) equivalent to the equipment’s value.

Please send all payments—including deposits and outstanding balances—via e-transfer to: info@carnivalrentals.ca. Autodeposit is enabled.

While our units are commercial grade and heavy (~60 lbs for the single tank unit and ~100 lbs for the double tank unit), customers have successfully fitted these into compact cars (similar in size to a Toyota Corolla).

• If using a car: We recommend leaning the front passenger seat forward to allow the slush machine to sit on the back seat.
• If using a Truck or SUV: The machines will fit easily.
• Dimensions:
  • Double slush unit: 16.14 x 21.06 x 31.89 inches.
  • Single slush unit: 8.07 x 21.06 x 31.89 inches.

The nightclub setup is quite straightforward. While it can be set up by a single person, we highly recommend having two or more people given the weight of the units (the small nightclub weighs 75 lbs, and the large nightclub weighs 123 lbs) and potential weather conditions, such as wind. We will provide ropes and plastic and/or metal anchors to secure the unit. A Truck or SUV should be used for pickup and return of the nightclub. 

To help us keep our rental rates competitive, we ask that you clean all equipment prior to return.

• Heated Units (e.g., Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Chocolate Fountains, Hot Dog Rollers): Please clean these immediately after use with soap and water. Residue is much easier to remove while the machine is still warm; once it cools and hardens, it becomes very difficult to scrub off.
  • Cotton Candy Unit Tip: We recommend pouring water into the machine head while the unit is still running/spinning, then using a wet cloth to clean the bowl and lid.
• Cold & Room Temp Units (e.g., Candy Dispensers, Snow Cone, Slush Machines): Please remove any remaining liquid or food residue and give the unit(s) a thorough rinse.

Please note: All units must be returned in the same condition they were received to avoid a $25 cleaning charge per machine.
